Of the many battles of the American revolution, he was only actively commanding eight, but he was the leader of the continental army. The continental army was a thrown together patchwork of thirteen colonies militias, it consisted of people from New Hampshire to Georgia, and had a single goal, independence from their mother country, Britain. The war was not just a turning point in America but for the world, many nations have a government structure similar to the "American Democracy", if it wasn't for Washington our world wouldn't be free.
But Washington gave his all from White Plains to Yorktown and never said no at bunker hill, he was a true hero for making a now global government structure, and more, now I will bring his life before into play. Washington was born in 1932 on a farm in Virginia, not knowing in forty years he would be an enemy to the British, and that he would help found a young nation. later in his life he fights as a general in the 7 years war, and becomes the first first president, and he does a lot more in his life, a lot of things to change world history.
Even though the war went on for approximately six years there where only 25 battles or about every 3 months. that's what I like to call uneventful, and quiet, was it even an all out war? It was a war, it was more a game of hide and seek but there was a clear winner. But the war was won only by being slow, Washington needed to buy tie and resources and that came in slower than it was used, so the common evasion gave their army time to gain supplies for a more successful attack in the future. this was resourcefulness, not wasting, if you know you are going to lose why fight he knew he would win, all he needed was time to restock.
In all Washington was born a leader,he had the skills, attitude, and the motive to change history, for the better. He created one of the most powerful nations in the world today ,and he also created the framework for countless other governments all over the globe. If he isn't a hero then who is?
